Phase 2: Advanced Data Collection

2.1 Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Campaign
Deploy LiDAR scanning equipment:  Capture high-resolution point cloud of entire structure
Scan interior common areas and a sample of living spaces
Conduct drone-based photogrammetry:  Capture ultra-high-resolution imagery of building exterior
Perform thermal imaging to detect moisture intrusion or insulation issues
Implement Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) analysis:  Assess foundation condition
Examine internal structural elements for voids or deterioration
Perform Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) testing on concrete elements
Conduct Half-Cell Potential measurements for reinforcement corrosion assessment

2.2 Sensor Network Deployment
Install a network of IoT sensors:  Vibration sensors at key structural points
Tilt sensors to monitor building movement
Strain gauges on critical structural elements
  Corrosion sensors in high-risk areas
  Temperature and humidity sensors
Set up a secure, real-time data transmission system
Implement edge computing nodes for preliminary data processing

2.3 Environmental and Contextual Data Collection
Gather detailed local climate data:  Historical weather patterns
  Sea level rise projections
  Hurricane and storm surge data
Collect soil and groundwater samples for analysis
Monitor local construction activities that might impact the structure
Record traffic patterns and vibrations (if near busy roads)

2.4 Material Testing
Extract concrete core samples (with minimal intrusion):  Perform compressive strength tests
  Conduct petrographic analysis
Collect reinforcement samples (if accessible):  Analyze for yield strength and chemical composition
Test samples for chloride ion penetration (crucial for coastal buildings)

2.5 Data Quality Assurance
  Implement real-time data validation protocols
Perform regular calibration checks on all sensors and equipment
Establish a chain of custody for all collected samples and data
